Open Championship: Hole-by-hole guide of Carnoustie

The Open Championship returns to Carnoustie for the eighth time this year as golf’s greatest tackle the most feared course on the rotation. Padraig Harrington won the last time the Claret Jug visited this part of the Scottish coast in 2007 and it was also the stage for Jean Van de Velde’s collapse in 1999, which ended with the Frenchman barefoot in the Barry Burn.
