Travelers Championship Preview

Jordan Spieth will defend his title against a strong lineup that includes multiple other high-profile U.S. Open cuts, as the PGA TOUR travels some 100 miles north from testy Shinnecock Hills to a more birdie-friendly TPC River Highlands next week for the Travelers Championship.

FedExCup titleholder Justin Thomas and Masters champion Patrick Reed also headline a field that features eight of the top 15 in the world rankings. U.S. Ryder Cup captain Jim Furyk will also return to the site where he carded the TOUR’s first 58 just two years ago. Read More

Last Year Was Great, But The Travelers Championship Has Plans To Improve

A better finish to the 2017 Travelers Championship could not have been scripted. Jordan Spieth, a three-time major winner and one of the most recognizable names in golf, drained a bunker shot on the first hole of a playoff with Daniel Berger to win the championship.

US Open Bitcoin Fantasy

The U.S. Open returns to historic Shinnecock Hills for just the fifth time and first since 2004’s calamity next week, as Brooks Koepka makes his first major title defense against a lineup headlined by FedExCup leader Justin Thomas and Masters champion Patrick Reed.

Phil Mickelson returns to the Open stage after a one-year layoff to attend his firstborn daughter’s high school graduation, still seeking the elusive title that would complete the career Grand Slam. Tiger Woods also is back for just the second time since 2013, marking the 10-year anniversary of his epic 2008 triumph at Torrey Pines. Read More

U.S. Open 2018: Tournament news, schedule, coverage and analysis

All you need to know about the 2018 U.S. Open, including day-by-day results and analysis from Shinnecock Hills

U.S. Open Overseas Sleepers –

Whilst Graeme McDowell, Martin Kaymer, Justin Rose and Rory McIlroy have taken the plaudits in recent years at the U.S. Open, from a European and world perspective at least, there have also been less-heralded performances which gamers will want to remember. Valuable fantasy points from players who might have been new to many.

Fantasy Golf returns for the BMW Championship

Justin Thomas, who made the Dell Technologies Championship his fifth win of 2016-17, joins FedExCup leader Jordan Spieth to headline a full 70-man lineup set to begin the FedExCup Playoffs’ second half.Six rookies remain alive in the FedExCup postseason, with Mackenzie Hughes and Xander Schauffele just outside the cutline to reach the finale at East Lake. All 12 members of the U.S. Presidents Cup team are entered, but only 10 from the International squad. Adam Scott and Branden Grace were eliminated in Boston.

While Spieth, Thomas and Johnson are locks for top-5 positions at East Lake, putting their FedExCup hopes into their own hands, the chase remains to learn who joins them. Hideki Matsuyama and Jon Rahm have inside track. The spotlight also falls on No. 30, where Bill Haas is on the bubble to advance. In each of the past two years, four men have played their way into the finale after starting the BMW outside the top 30. Phil Mickelson, who tied for sixth at TPC Boston, will become the all-time leader in FedExCup Playoff starts when he tees it up for his 41st postseason event. That breaks a tie with Bubba Watson, who didn’t advance from Boston.

JB4times4 & slptransam winners in the Scottish Open & John Deere

Congratulations to user JB4times4 for winning our Scottish Open fantasy contest last week. First place took down 0.0171 bitcoins. We posted a short player pool with only a handful of the top players to choose from for the Scottish Open. Making the cut turned out to be difficult, the rosters that cashed had more than one cut player. Last week’s winning user jesscoin had a roster with only one cut player (which was best in the pool), but poor scores on the weekend from Bernd Wiesberger and Byeong-Hun An pulled the roster down to third place.

User slptransam won our John Deere Classic fantasy contest, by edging out user thecosmicshame by only 1 point. First place received 0.024225 bitcoins. Every player on the top two rosters made the cut, which provided the points that propelled them to the top of our leaderboard.

John Deere: Charles Howell & Ollie Schniederjans Tied for Lead

The thursday morning wave got the best of the draw this week at the John Deere Classic, and both Charles Howell and Ollie Schniederjans posted 8 under to tie for the lead after round 1.

Check out the results of our pool for lowest Thursday score

For most of the day it was looking like Charles Howell III would run away with it as he posted eight under in the morning, but Ollie Schniederjans kept the pace with a birdie on his final hole to tie for the round 1 lead.

If Charles Howell III had held the solo lead at the end of Thursday’s round, the low score pool on CoinRoster would have paid out with odds of 281.38. This result would have caused two users would to split the total pool of 0.5889297 bitcoins worth of winnings.

Bitcoin Fantasy Golf: Scottish Open & John Deere Classic

This week is a little different than most on the golfing tour schedule as our sights are set on the Open Championship next week. So this week, some players will be taking a break from tournament action to travel and/or prepare for the Open.

We’ve posted a variety of games this week including two fantasy pools, and also a bunch of pari-mutuel pools where users can wager on the results. Click this link to view available contests

Some of the stars are using this week’s Scottish Open to prepare for next week’s Open Championship. Fowler, Stenson, and Adam Scott are teeing it up this week in Scotland. Rory will also play the Scottish Open, and we wonder whether he can get back to form and look for a decent finish in this year’s Open, where the fans will be on his side.

We’ve posted a fantasy for the Scottish Open with a limited list of players to draft. We’ll update scores at least once per day, but the scores will not update in realtime.

Back in the states, Berger and Zach Johnson will play the John Deere. Jordan Spieth will skip the tournament this year and travel overseas. Dustin Johnson is also taking a bye week.

We have posted a full field fantasy contest for the John Deere, with real-time scoring.

The US Women’s Open will be played at Trump Bedminster this week as well, and LPGA fans can place a wager in our winner progressive pool.
